Santa Ana Volcano, also known as Ilamatepec Volcano, mountain is a peak in southwestern El Salvador. The highest peak in the country. The volcano has been active since the 16th century and last erupted in 2005.
Ilamatepeq ‘Small Farms Blend’ – This coffee is the result of many trips to the area and our close work with the local milling station. The blend is comprised from many different small farms many of which have never had the opportunity to sell their coffee on a larger scale or use modern processing techniques to improve quality. Through the efforts of our local partners in the region these farmers are now being afforded these opportunities and their coffees are being delivered to market!
Recommended Brew Methods
Drip Coffee Ratio – 1g of coffee for every 16g of water.
AeroPress – 1g of coffee for every 13g of water. Or 20g’s of coffee per batch. This will make a strong cup that is excellent on its own or can be diluted with water.
